There are many great things to learn this year and classroom rules will be some of them. As you know, good behavior and learning go hand in hand. Simple class rules have been established to ensure that your child and the others have a positive and safe learning environment.
We believe that children need to learn the importance of accepting responsibility for their choices. All children are expected to follow classroom rules and we will help them learn to do so in a positive, fair, and equitable manner. Good discipline allows us to teach and the children to learn.
Our class rules are as follows:
1. Cooperate (Work to get along with others)
2. Be Mindful (Think about what you are doing and saying)
3. Be On Task (Doing what you are supposed to do)
Our classroom will always focus on the positive; however there will be times when reminders need to be given to re-direct behavior. It is our goal to re-direct behavior with a warning. To help guide and monitor choices for behavior we will be using, Class Dojo. This is an online behavior system in which each child will earn/loose points based on choices made throughout the day. More information will come home when the year gets underway.
We look forward to establishing the best classroom and learning environment for your children. We will practice our rules and procedures a lot. We have no doubt that this will be an excellent year for us all!
